Dt 5th December 2013 : The programme was jointly organized by Mizoram State Tobacco Control Society (MSTCS) and Mizoram State Cancer Institute (MSCI). There were about 150 participants from villages in and around Falkawn. The programme aimed at educating women on the effects of tobacco with special emphasis on cancer that ppertains to women. PAPs Smear screening programme and free medical camp was also organized as part of the awareness programme to encourage people in taking preventive measures and for early detection of cancer to decrease the number of cancer deaths in Mizoram.
